Y'all, my heart is so full right now.
My BIG ideas are coming to life, and last week was pretty packed with the Holiday Hardwear release, new projects, and community classes.

After 10+ years of this journey, it's all becoming clearer, and things are aligning more. I'm so thankful I stayed the course, and I promise y'all, any message and lesson I share comes from failing fast, with some blood, sweat, and a few tears sprinkled in. 😩💕✨
But here's what I know for sure: slow and steady is still sustainable. ☺️🫶🏾
Let me walk you through the magic that unfolded last week, because honestly, each moment felt like confirmation that this work, this mission of bringing creative wellness to our communities, is exactly where I am supposed to be.
Creative Wellness Meets Higher Education: MICA's BCAN Team Retreat

First up, I had the honor of sharing Creative Wellness with MICA's BCAN team at the Patagonia store. For those who don't know, MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) is one of the most prestigious art schools in the country, and their BCAN (Black Community Action Network) team is doing incredible work around Black leadership and creative community-building within higher education spaces.
What made this collaboration even more beautiful was the location. Patagonia Baltimore isn't just a retail space, it's become a hub for community activism and sustainability events, creating a welcoming, collaborative environment where brands and communities come together around shared values.
Watching these brilliant educators and community builders slow down, breathe, and create something beautiful with their hands was pure medicine. There's something sacred that happens when we give ourselves permission to play, to create without agenda, to simply be present with materials and each other.
These are the same people pouring into the next generation of artists and changemakers, and to witness them pour into themselves? That's the full circle moment right there.💪🏾
Holiday Hardwear: A New Collection Born from Intention

Speaking of full circle moments, the Holiday Hardwear release happened last week, and I'm still buzzing from the response. This collection isn't just about pretty pieces for the holidays; it's about creating wearable reminders of our healing journeys, especially during a season that can bring up so much for folks.
Each piece in the Holiday Hardwear collection is handcrafted with the same love and intention that goes into all our Healing Hardwear™. But this time, I wanted to create something that honored the complexity of the holidays, the joy and the grief, the celebration and the stress, the connection and the loneliness that can all exist in the same space.
Every bead tells a story. Every stack represents a journey. And seeing people connect with these pieces, seeing them choose their own healing adventure through intentional adornment? That's what keeps me going.
Beady B Takes on Christmas Village (Despite the Chaos)

Now, let me tell you about Saturday's adventure. I brought Beady B downtown to Christmas Village at Inner Harbor, and y'all, and there were a few obstacles. See, it was the same day as the Army-Navy game in Baltimore, and if you know anything about Baltimore on game day, you know the traffic situation is... a lot.
But Christmas Village at Inner Harbor is this beautiful tradition that brings together local and international makers, creating this magical marketplace where cultures blend and creativity flows. It's been running for years, drawing people from all over to celebrate the holidays through handmade goods, traditional foods, and that special energy that only happens when community comes together in celebration.
Even with the game day chaos, the energy downtown was incredible. Families bundled up against the December chill, couples choosing pieces for each other, kids wide-eyed at all the colors and textures, it reminded me why I love pop-ups so much.
There's something about meeting people where they are, literally, and being part of their day, their story, their journey.
Beady B drew people in like magic. Watching folks discover that they could create their own Healing Hardwear™ onsite, seeing their faces light up as they chose stones and colors that spoke to their souls, that's the good stuff right there.
Cozy Vibes at Cuples Tea House & Vinyl & Pages

But Saturday's crown jewel was closing out the evening with a cozy creative wellness workshop at Cuples Tea House and Vinyl & Pages. Y'all, this space felt like I was in the basement of my favorite cousin's house- you know, the one who always had the best music and the warmest energy.
Cuples Tea House and Vinyl & Pages creates this perfect fusion of books, vinyl, and tea that just feeds the soul. Walking into that space, I immediately felt held. The walls were lined with records, books, and the kind of intentional curation that only happens when someone truly loves what they do.

The workshop started at 7 PM, and from the moment people walked in, you could feel the shift. This evening we would be doing more than crafting bracelets. The playlist was everything, Michael Jackson (my birthday twin!), Stevie Wonder perfectly blended as if we had our own personal DJ- I couldn't stop dancing in between teaching moments.
There's something about music that just opens hearts, you know? And when you combine that with the tactile meditation of working with beads, choosing stones, creating something beautiful with your hands, magic happens. Real, transformative, healing magic.
I watched people who came in carrying the weight of their week slowly soften. I saw strangers become friends over shared laughter and "ooh, that's a pretty stone!" moments. I witnessed the quiet power of creativity to create connection, both with ourselves and each other.
The Bigger Picture: 10+ Years of Alignment
As I reflect on this incredible week, I keep coming back to something I shared on my Facebook page: after 10+ years, it's all becoming clearer, and things are aligning more. Y'all, this didn't happen overnight. This level of community trust, these meaningful collaborations, this sense of purpose and flow: it's been built one bead, one project, one workshop, one genuine connection at a time.
There were years when I wondered if this vision would ever fully materialize. Times when the path felt unclear, when the work felt harder than the progress showed, when I questioned whether slow and steady was actually sustainable in a world that often rewards the loud and fast.
But last week felt like a love letter from the universe, confirmation that staying true to my values, my community, and my vision was the right choice. Every engagement and moment of connection felt like a thread in this beautiful tapestry I've been weaving for over a decade.
My BIG ideas are coming to life, and y'all are such a beautiful part of this journey. Here's to more alignment, more community, more creative wellness wins, and more opportunities to adorn our temples with intention and love. ✨💕
